David Schulner - P 2014
Courtesy UTADo No Harm creator David Schulner is staying at Universal Television.
The writer-producer has inked a new two-year deal with the studio, extending the relationship with Uni TV that dates back to his first overall pact in 2010.
Under the new deal, Schulner will create and develop new projects for the studio, with projects in the works for USA Network, Syfy and HBO.

Schulner recently sold ancient Egyptian drama Pharaoh to HBO with Ridley Scott attached to direct and exec produce. The drama explores an alternate explanation for the foundation and ascent of the ancient Egyptian empire — one in which greatness was bestowed upon us by beings from another world, calling into question what it means to be a “god.” The project was co-created by Giannina Facio and Colet Abedi, who will exec produce alongside Scott and David Zucker for Scott Free.
He’s also teaming with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman to bring his Image/Skybound sci-fi thriller comic Clone to the small screen (though a network is attached).

Schulner served as showrunner on NBC’s Jekyll & Hyde drama Do No Harm, which was canceled after only two episodes. The prolific producer most recently was a consulting producer on NBC’s Dracula and Ironside. The fate of Dracula has yet to be determined, while the network’s Ironside reboot was canceled earlier this year.
He started his career as a playwright before becoming a staff writer on ABC’s Once and Again. His credits include Everwood, Desperate Housewives and Kings as well as ITV’s Marchlands and Lightfields, based on his pilot The Oaks. Schulner is repped by UTA and Myman Abel.
