The live-action multicamera series is told from the dog’s point of view. A family adopts a dog named Stan (played by a 4-year old mixed breed named Kuma) in the hope that two feuding step-siblings will bond over the pet. It works when the siblings soon find out that that the dog can talk and write.
From Emmy-winning producer Michael B. Kaplan (Roseanne, Frasier), the series goes into production in June in Los Angeles and is slated for a fall 2012 premiere on Disney Channel.
The series stars G. Hannelius (Good Luck Charlie), Blake Michael (Lemonade Mouth), Francesca Capaldi (A.N.T. Farm), Beth Littleford (The Daily Show With Jon Stewart), Regan Burns (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Stephen Full (I’m in the Band) as the voice of Stan the dog.
Created and executive produced by Kaplan, the series pilot was directed by Neal Israel (Even Stevens) and produced by Leo Clarke (Pair of Kings).
