Donald Trump on Friday mocked recent accusations from multiple women who said he sexually assaulted them years ago.
The GOP presidential nominee was speaking at a rally in Greensboro, N.C., when he brought up a recent New York Times story in which two women accused the billionaire businessman of sexual assault.
The now-74-year-old Jessica Leeds said Trump assaulted her on a plane three decades ago. Trump mentioned that accusation Friday.
“He went after me on a plane,” said Trump, mocking Leeds’ account of the alleged incident. “Believe me, she would not be my first choice. That I can tell you. You don’t know. That would not be my first choice.”
While talking about the other accusers, Trump grabbed the air high and low, appearing to simulate groping gestures.
Trump has been slammed with negative press since a tape recently leaked of him in 2005 talking about his enjoyment of being sexually forceful with women.
At the same time Trump was giving his speech in North Carolina, former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos held a media conference with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, at which she said Trump kissed and groped her at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2007.
In North Carolina, Trump was interrupted by a protester during Friday’s rally. That man was assaulted by a Trump supporter in the crowd until police intervened.
