While stumping in Virginia on Tuesday, Donald Trump asked the parent of a crying baby to leave his rally.
At first, the GOP presidential nominee told the parent not to worry about the baby. “I love babies,” he added.
However, moments later, while the baby was still crying, Trump stopped his speech to ask the parent to leave.
“Actually I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here,” Trump said. “I think she really believed me that I like a baby crying while I am speaking.”
The billionaire businessman also got social media fired up when he received a Purple Heart medal from a veteran before his speech began.
“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart,” Trump said. “This was much easier.”
Hillary Clinton was quick to respond to the remark on Twitter.
“This from a man who says he’s ‘sacrificed’ for our country,” Clinton’s team wrote, alluding to Trump’s recent remarks concerning comments made against him by the family of a fallen U.S. solider.

Just as he has done since the start of his campaign, Trump hammered away on the “rigged” system and media.
“We’re running against a rigged system and we’re running against a dishonest media,” Trump said.
