The second season of Disney Channel’s Ducktales premieres on Oct. 20 — and fans of the show can be assured they’ll get more of Huey, Dewey and Louie in 2019.
The cable channel has ordered a third season of the animated series ahead of the season two premiere. Stars Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Schwartz (Dewey) and Bobby Moynihan (Louie) made the announcement in the video below, with a bit of help from co-star David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck).
The show’s first season drew broad engagement on social and digital platforms in addition to its on-air ratings. The show’s 2017 launch was the top animated series premiere on Disney in two and a half years.
The Ducktales cast also includes Toks Olagundoye, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett and Disney legend Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck. Guest-stars for season two include Julie Bowen, Edgar Wright, Jack McBrayer, John Hodgman, Jameela Jamil, Libe Barer, Lance Reddick, Paget Brewster, Bernardo de Paula and Arturo del Puerto.
Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse) executive produces the Disney Television Animation series. Francisco Angones is co-producer and story editor; Sean Jimenez serves as art director.
