TORONTO — U.K. Peppa Pig-rights holder Entertainment One says it’s not in talks to buy Noddy-rights owner Chorion.
The terse denial follows a Mail on Sunday newspaper report indicating the Toronto-based producer was in discussions to acquire Chorion.
The latest pronouncement from Entertainment One follows word last week that the indie has received buyer interest and is weighing a possible sale of the company.
The Mail on Sunday report indicated the Canadian company, which trades on the London Stock Exchange, was still eyeing Chorion as a target, even as it considers a sale of its own assets.
