Eric McCormack has signed with Gersh, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The Toronto native became a familiar household face with the groundbreaking NBC comedy Will & Grace, for which he won an Emmy in 2001 (plus three additional nominations), a GLAAD Media Vanguard Award in 2003 and five straight Golden Globe nominations for best actor in a TV series — musical or comedy. He then went on to star in a pair of TNT dramas: the 2009 series Trust Me and Perception, which concluded its three-season run earlier this year. McCormack’s other major television credits include two seasons on the syndicated Western Lonesome Dove, the 2008 A&E miniseries The Andromeda Strain and the 2010 Lifetime movie Who Is Clark Rockefeller?
McCormack is set to star next opposite Parker Posey in the independent film The Architect. His other feature credits include Knife Fight, Barricade, Textuality, My One and Only, Alien Trespass, The Sisters and Free Enterprise.
The actor made his Broadway debut with the 2000-2001 revival of The Music Man. In 2012, he starred opposite Candice Bergen, James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury in the revival of the play Gore Vidal’s The Best Man. He also starred Off-Broadway in Neil LaBute’s Some Girl(s) in 2006 then reunited with the scribe this spring for season two of his DirecTV anthology drama Full Circle.
McCormack continues to be managed by Leanne Coronel of Coronel Group.
