For fans who want to know what happened with the cookbook Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge’s began working on last season on Planet Green’s The Fabulous Beekman Boys, this news should be of interest to you.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively from the guys’ rep, Darren Bettencourt, that they have just signed a deal with QVC to debut The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook before it hits bookstores.
The cookbook will be available for purchase on September 28 during In the Kitchen with David hour starting at 9 p.m. It will then be widely available in bookstores on October 4.
The Fabulous Beekman Boys follows New Yorker City residents Kilmer-Purcell and Ridge’s decision to buy a farm in Upstate New York and build their natural ingredients lifestyle brand, Beekman 1802, which includes soaps, cheese, and caramel sauce featuring goat’s milk from the guys’ farm.
Kilmer-Purcell is a best-selling author whose book, I Am Not Myself These Days, was optioned by Bravo as one of their first ventures into scripted series with Sex and the City’s Darren Star set to exec produce. Ridge is a registered physician and left his job as the Vice President of Healthy Living for Martha Stewart Omnimedia to launch Beekman 1802.
