AMC on Sunday used the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead to debut its web series spinoff.
Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 is a 16-part web series that will air during two commercial breaks within the upcoming sixth season premiere of AMC’s flagship drama The Walking Dead. Subsequent episodes will air once a week during the remainder of season six.
Fear the Walking Dead showrunner Dave Erickson produces Flight 462 while David Wiener is on board as a co-exec producer. L. Signorino and Mike Zunic penned the script, with Fear DP Michael McDonough set to direct. As was originally planned, one surviving character will become a regular on Fear season two.
Flight 462 tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. During the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler. Watch the first episode, below.
