Fox News Channel co-anchor Gregg Jarrett was arrested in a bar and grill at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport on Wednesday afternoon, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jarrett appeared to be drunk, acted belligerently and wouldn’t obey police orders, according to the police report. A bystander told the officer Jarrett had said he’d taken medication, though he told the officer he hadn’t. He told the officer he had begun drinking at 9 a.m. Jarrett was placed in a holding cell, where he struggled with the officer, who was trying to handcuff him. He was subsequently charged with obstructing the legal process by interfering with a peace officer, a misdemeanor.
Jarrett was released from Hennepin County Jail shortly after 1:30 a.m. local time on Thursday, after posting $300 bond, according to the jail website.
Jarrett has a court date scheduled for June 6.

Jarrett is a co-anchor of Fox’s America’s News HQ, which airs on Saturdays and Sundays. He joined the network in 2002 and recently covered the George Zimmerman murder trial and the crash of Asiana Flight 214 at the San Francisco Airport.
On May 12, TV Newser reported Jarrett had requested time off from Fox for undisclosed “personal reasons.”
A Fox News spokesperson said in a statement obtained by THR: “We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined.”
