Fox has handed out its fifth comedy pilot order of the season.
The network has picked up Dan the Weatherman, a multicultural comedy from Steve Dildarian, the creator of The Life and Times of Tim.
According to Fox, Dan the Weatherman revolves around Dan, “who after getting fired from his cushy job as a weatherman at the local TV station, finds it’s not enough to be a charming white man in this world. He reluctantly ends up at the neighboring Spanish TV station.”

Dildarian will pen the script and executive produce the single-camera comedy alongside Tomorrow Studios’ Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements.
Dan the Weatherman is the network’s fifth overall comedy pilot order of the season, all of them produced by 20th Century Fox Television — the studio that would move to Disney if Fox’s $52 billion sale clears regulatory hurdles.
Dan joins Rel, Our People, Daddy Issues and Vicki Lawrence vehicle Cool Kids at the network this pilot season.
