Fox has renewed Raising Hope, the net announced at TCA Tuesday.
“I’m happy that the show is getting another year,” said show creator Greg Garcia in a statement. “But the fact that I’ve been trying to think of a funny quote for the last two hours and this is the best I could come up with makes me a little nervous about season two.
Fox also confirmed the sneak preview of Steven Spielberg‘s Terra Nova: Monday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 24 at 9 p.m. ET. The show will premiere in the fall.
Jamie Foxx‘s untitled sketch comedy, starring Affion Crockett, will air an hourlong episode on March 31 following American Idol, and then premiere in its regular time period June 9.
The network confirmed the well-known news that the contestants who make it to through to Hollywood will head to Las Vegas to perform Beatles songs on Cirque du Soleil LOVE, Feb. 23 and 24 for a semifinal round that will conclude with the judges revealing that there will be 20 semifinalists — ten men and ten women.
The semifinalists compete on March 1 and 2 on (8-9:30 p.m.); the five male and five female contestants with the most votes will be the first to join this season’s finalists.
The judges’ will also make their special “Wild Card” picks rounding out the finalists on March 3.
Fox also announced a 16-city mobile tour that will let people record their take on Ryan Seacrest’s “This is American Idol…” introduction for a chance to win an opportunity to deliver the line on stage with Seacrest. The mobile tour begins Jan. 19 in Los Angeles.
Mary Murphy will also return as judge on So You Think You Can Dance.
