Fox has set a premiere date for Wayward Pines — and it’s coming out on the same day around the globe. The 10-part miniseries from filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan will bow Thursday, May 14, on Fox and Fox channels in 125 countries.
It’s the last piece of the network’s midseason schedule, most of which was announced in November. It will also bow after most of the 2014-15 season is over, much like 24 revival Live Another Day did earlier this year. The 10-episode run is slated to air at 9 p.m. on Thursdays.

And with the international rollout, Fox is calling it the world’s largest day-and-date launch for a scripted series ever.
Wayward Pines, from FX Productions, boasts a particularly impressive cast. Matt Dillon stars, with Melissa Leo, Empire star Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Shannyn Sossamon, Toby Jones, Reed Diamond and Juliette Lewis among the rest of the cast.
The mystery focuses on Dillon’s character as he looks for two missing federal agents in the titular bucolic town. It is executive-produced by Shyamalan, Donald De Line, Ashwin Rajan and Chad Hodge, who developed it for TV.
