Fresh off a huge ratings win with the World Series, Fox is now looking ahead to midseason.
On Thursday, the network announced premiere dates for several of its new midseason offerings, including 24: Legacy and cop drama APB, as well as the season finale of baseball drama Pitch.
Pitch will conclude with its 10-episode run on Dec. 8, and its future is still to be determined. While viewership has not met network expectations, execs are said to be happy with the show creatively.
Pitch‘s Thursday lead-in Rosewood, which also has struggled in the ratings, will move to Fridays beginning Jan. 6. The fourth season of Sleepy Hollow, which returns after the exit of star Nicole Beharie, will follow on Fridays, where it aired for the second half of season three.
Fox will fill the void on Thursdays with returning series Hell’s Kitchen on Jan. 5, followed by rookie cooking show My Kitchen Rules beginning Jan. 12. MasterChef Junior will take over the former’s spot beginning in February.
Meanwhile on Mondays, Fox will pair freshmen action dramas 24: Legacy and Justin Kirk cop drama APB, beginning Feb. 6. Monday dramas Gotham and Lucifer will air their winter finales a week prior, on Jan. 30, and their returns will be announced at a later date. Brooklyn Nine-Nine also will go on an extended hiatus, airing its two-part winter finale on Sunday, Jan. 1, and returning sometime later in the season.
As previously announced, The Mick and Bones will air Tuesdays beginning in January, while Lee Daniels’ girl-group drama Star will take over Empire’s slot on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. before Empire returns for the second half of season three on March 22.
