Fox Networks Group has tapped its newest president of advertising revenue.
Joe Marchese has been appointed to the role, where he will oversee linear and nonlinear sales, advertising research and advanced ad products for FNG’s portfolio of network brands. The news comes ahead of the networks’ Upfronts presentation on Monday.
As part of the new organization, Danielle Maged will continue to report to Freer, overseeing Global Solutions and National Geographic partnerships.
“Joe is an industry leader who has accelerated the transformation of our sales organization, creating exceptional capabilities in the areas of data, digital revenue, user experience and branded content creation,” FNG president and COO Randy Freer said Wednesday in a statement.
Marchese has held the position of president of advanced advertising products at Fox Networks Group since 2015. Prior to joining FNG, Marchese was CEO of true[x], an advertising company he founded in 2007, which was then acquired by Fox in 2015. Marchese also serves on the boards of the Paley Center, the Ad Council and Tribeca Film Festival.
“It’s crucial, as an industry, that we evolve the business model of advertising to better serve our brand and agency partners, our creative community and, most of all, our viewers and fans,” said Marchese. “It is rare that we have an opportunity, through working together, to benefit all players in an ecosystem, but that is exactly what we have in front of us with the digitization of delivery of TV quality content.”
