“Shana is not only a trusted creative partner to our talent, but also a dynamic and inspiring leader within our company,” said Fox exec vp current programming Marcy Ross, to whom Waterman will report. “Her fresh thinking and sharp creative instincts make her a tremendous asset to our programming leadership team.”
The promotion comes after Waterman took a lead role in producing Fox’s inaugural Seizing Opportunities Forum, which spurred a dialogue among the network’s creative partners about shifting audience demos. She also spearheaded the Fox Innovators Group, the network’s internal program designed to foster entrepreneurial thinking and innovation among its employees.
“Shana is a top-flight programming executive and a self-starter, as evidenced by the resounding success of the Fox Innovators Program. She executed above and beyond on every level,” Fox Broadcasting chairman of entertainment Kevin Reilly said.
