Fox’s midseason comedy Us & Them is adding to its cast.
Michael Ian Black, who guest-starred in the pilot, has joined the cast as a series regular. He will play Brian, Stacey’s (Alexis Bledel) uncle, described as a simple man, the brother of Stacey’s late father, who has taken on the role of family protector.

He joins Bledel and Jason Ritter in the half-hour entry, based on the popular BBC series Gavin & Stacey. The single-camera show, which is being produced by Men of Science Inc. and BBC Worldwide Productions in association with Sony, is the story of a guy (Ritter) and a girl (Bledel) who meet and try to make a long-distance relationship work, with their friends and family proving to be both their best support and their worst nightmare.
Black currently can be seen hosting E!’s web series Burning Love, a Bachelor franchise spoof produced by Ben Stiller. Later this year, he’ll front the TBS game show Trust Me. Black is repped by UTA and Schachter Entertainment.
