TV Land is saying farewell to Happily Divorced.
The Fran Drescher comedy has been canceled after two seasons at the network, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Drescher starred in the semi-autobiographical series about a woman re-entering the dating world after finding out that her husband is gay.
The series opened to 2.4 million total viewers in June 2011 and earned a second season after its initial 10-episode run ended with a decent 1.64 million viewers. The expanded second run of the comedy returned in March 2012 with 1.4 million viewers and earned an additional 12-episode order, which ended in February with about 1 million total viewers tuning in.
For TV Land, Happily Divorced joins the recently canceled Retired at 35, which was axed after three seasons.
Meanwhile, the Viacom-owned network’s signature comedy Hot in Cleveland recently was renewed for a fifth season of 24 installments — taking the series past the 100th episode.
The news comes as TV Land prepares to launch its Kirstie Alley comedy and bulk up with scripted pilots Jennifer Falls with Jaime Pressly and Darren Star‘s Younger.
