Frozen BTS ABC - H 2014
ABCWhile Tuesday night’s ABC special, The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic, spent time peeking behind the scenes of the Oscar-winning 2013 film, it also announced what’s set for 2015 — an animated short called “Frozen Fever,” featuring a new original song.
Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their roles in the short, which drops in on a birthday party that Elsa and Kristoff are throwing for Anna, but is put in jeopardy by Elsa’s icy magic. The new song will hail from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who penned the numbers of the original film.
“Frozen Fever” is set to arrive in spring 2015, though it was not noted which project it will accompany. Peter Del Vecho is producing the short.
The announcement of the short follows those of a Broadway musical production, a Disney On Ice show and a Random House book series. The franchise’s characters are also featured in the upcoming fourth season of ABC’s fairytale drama Once Upon a Time.
