Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is cruising over to FX.
The network has nabbed the exclusive U.S. commercial television premiere rights to the Tom Cruise starrer, along with recent films Trainwreck, Paper Towns, Spy and Pixels.
Rogue Nation, which topped the weekend’s domestic box office with its $56 million debut, is the latest box office leader to be acquired by the cabler and its suite of networks, including FX, FXX, FXM and the video-on-demand platform FXNOW. In addition, Amy Schumer star vehicle Trainwreck grossed nearly $80 million domestically.
The films join FX’s growing slate of major box office hits, including Minions, Jurassic World and Furious 7, which has grossed over $1.5 billion in worldwide box office revenue. The network has also licensed Terminator: Genisys, Ted 2, Pitch Perfect 2, Taken 3, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Home.
