Game of Thrones’ Michiel Huisman has exited ICM Partners for UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
The Dutch actor’s career has really heated up in the last couple of years. As Daenerys’ ally and lover Daario Naharis on the HBO drama, he first appeared in season four before being promoted to series regular from the fifth season onwards. Last year he pulled triple duty with BBC America’s Orphan Black, playing Sarah’s babydaddy Cal on the second season, and ABC’s Nashville, recurring as seductive music producer Liam throughout the series. The latter gig put Huisman’s real-life singer-songwriter experience to good use, as did his first American television show: HBO’s Treme, in which he starred as addict and jazz musician Sonny during the first two seasons.
On the big screen, Huisman most recently starred as Blake Lively’s latter-day love interest in The Age of Adaline, which came after his steamy encounter with Reese Witherspoon in Wild. And he has even romanced Gisele Bundchen, in the Baz Luhrmann-directed short The One That I Want for Chanel No. 5 last fall. Earlier this year he replaced Benjamin Walker as the male lead opposite Teresa Palmer in the Groundhog Day-like psychological thriller 2:22.
Huisman continues to be represented by the U.K.’s Conway van Gelder Grant, Authentic and attorney J. Franklin Stewart.
