HBO used Sunday’s Sharp Objects finale to tee up what many are expecting to be a massive 2019 for the premium cable network.
The final season of Game of Thrones takes center stage in the new marketing clip, which also sets up the second season of awards darling Big Little Lies — including star Meryl Streep — as well as returning favorites including the conclusion of Veep, Barry and new entries like Pod Save America and Camping.
While HBO’s nearly two-decade-long streak of being the most Emmy-nominated network was snapped by Netflix this year, its 2019 slate looks likely to again challenge for the honor. New series to come in 2019 or beyond that were sadly left out of the new supercut released Sunday include Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen, J.J. Abrams’ Demimonde, Joss Whedon’s The Nevers, The Time Traveler’s Wife and Jordan Peele’s Lovecraft Country, among others.
Check out the footage, above. The final season of Game of Thrones is set to air in the first half of 2019.
