There’s only one episode left in the HBO series that’s captivated audiences for almost a decade, Game of Thrones. To commemorate the closing of the final chapter, The Hollywood Reporter looks back at the best and funniest moments with the cast of television’s worldwide phenomenon.
While on the set of her THR cover shoot in 2015, before Daenerys Targaryen had struck up a love affair with Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Emilia Clarke spoke on the rumored pairing of the two characters, saying, “Yes, I’ve heard the rumor that Jon Snow and Daenerys do get together. I’m not sure if that’s going to be true or not, though. I genuinely can tell you that I don’t know.”
While that rumor did come to fruition, she also joked about the beauty of Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). “If Daenerys met Jaime Lannister, he wouldn’t stand a chance. I think they would be bedded before they finished the sentence. Maybe I shouldn’t say that,” she laughed. “He’s just too beautiful.”
Jaime Lannister himself, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, sat down In Studio prior to the season 8 premiere to answer the age-old question: Why does Jaime love Cersei Lannister no matter what she does? “She’s such a great cook, that’s the thing. She makes the best omelet and he’s like, ‘I can’t leave this woman,'” he joked. “And the smoothie is to die for.”
Watch the video above to hear the cast spill their most embarrassing moments on set, why Bran never leaves the courtyard in Winterfell, which castmember is the best at karaoke and more.
The series finale of Game of Thrones airs Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m. on HBO.
