Winter, war and all manner of foreboding w-words are heading to Westeros in the third season of Game of Thrones, as the latest promo makes quite clear.
Just about two weeks shy of the drama’s return, “War” gives a rather concise run-down of who’s fighting and why.

“A man who fights for gold can’t afford to lose to a girl,” says Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), clearly rebounding from last season’s humbling desert sojourn.
It’s Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), however, who seems to say what’s on everybody’s mind when he announces, “I want Joffrey dead.” (Sure, he names several other characters, too, but who’s keeping track?)
