Welcome back to the Dragonfly Inn!
Yanic Truesdale, who played Michel Gerard on Gilmore Girls, shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the upcoming Netflix revival late Friday on Twitter.

As the caption read, the revival reunites Gerard with his TV boss, Lauren Graham, at the Stars Hollow-based hotel that Lorelai & Co. opened at the end of season four. However, Lorelai’s business partner and Dragonfly head chef, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy), is nowhere to be seen.
A day after creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said she had reached out to McCarthy’s camp about the busy actress reprising her role in the series, McCarthy shot down any such claims, saying she had not been asked to return.
It’s unclear where things stand following McCarthy’s tweet, and how Sookie’s absence will be dealt with in the series. There is no premiere date for the Gilmore Girls revival, which is said to consist of four 90-minute movies. Creator Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct all of the Netflix episodes. Also returning are Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn and Matt Czuchry.
