Bette Midler is ready to get her Glee on.
During Monday night’s God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards ceremony, Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy invited the singer-actress to guest-star on the Fox musical.
“I just asked the incredible Bette Midler to be on Glee in front of 1,000 people. I hope she says yes!” Murphy tweeted Monday.

“Bette said yes! Amazing. I am plotting…who should she play?” he wrote moments later.
Not to be outdone, the Oscar-nominated, Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-winning actress chimed in with a suggestion for who she could play: “I have one vote for Rachel’s grandmother…hmmmm. I’m thinking, I’m thinking!!” she wrote.

Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell played Rachel’s (Lea Michele) gay dads on the Fox musical’s third season.
Who do you think Midler should play? Considering Rachel’s in New York, we suggest a Broadway star she encounters at Callbacks looking for the next big star. Hit the comments with your thoughts. Glee returns Nov. 8 on Fox.
