Fox celebrated Glee‘s 300th musical performance Wednesday as the cast, crew and Fox and Columbia Records executives reflected on some of their favorite performances.
After taping a mash-up featuring Adele’s “Rumor Has It” and “Someone Like You,” the cast and executive producers looked back at which of the 300 performances stood out, with many citing the songs they had the biggest emotional connection to.

“For sentimental reasons, my No. 1 is ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ ‘, which was at the end of the pilot and was our first big seller,” co-creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy said. “I do always have a soft spot for the mash-ups and one that comes to mind is I love ‘Pretty’/’Unpretty,’ which Lea [Michele] and Dianna [Agron] did.”

Added co-creator/EP Brad Falchuk: “I think all the music on the show, what works so well about it is when you have a sentimental attachment to it, if you have an emotional attachment to what ever was going on in that number and I think when we did ‘Rain on My Parade’ it was the end of the first 12 and it was this little club that we were in as we were doing it and it’s a very sort of powerful moment, and Lea obviously killed it. I also have a soft spot for ‘Hell to the No’ because Ian [Brennan]’s lyricism is really to be admired.”
