Chord Overstreet is going from being a student at Glee’s McKinley High to teaching fourth grade on ABC’s The Middle.
The former Glee co-star has been booked to guest star on the ABC comedy starring Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher and Atticus Shaffer.
Overstreet, who played Sam on Fox’s musical dramedy, will play Ralph Wilkerson, a fourth-grade teacher whose innovative methods run counter to Frankie (Heaton) and Mike’s (Flynn) “more relaxed” parenting.

Overstreet’s run on Glee came to an end earlier this summer when the actor opted not to return to the musical dramedy when he was not bumped up to series regular.
