Last week Joshua Bowman found out of his Revenge character, Daniel Grayson, really did die as viewers were led to believe in the pilot.
He hopes he survives for many reasons, and one of them is so he can continue to act alongside Madeleine Stowe.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Bowman during the Disney-ABC party at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, and while he couldn’t speak to his character’s fate, he did sound off on his TV mom and her Golden Globe nomination.

“She gets me emotional,” he said. “There’s something about her. I respect her so much… I can’t think of anyone else who I’d want to share a scene with. It’s like an acting class for me, and I feel I’m getting better as an actor because of her.”
Stowe, nominated for best actress in a television drama, was last nominated in 1994 for the now-defunct best ensemble cast award for her work in Short Cuts. They won.

“I pray that she wins, but to be honest, it doesn’t matter if she wins or loses,” said Bowman. “It’s not about that obviously. She’s come back after a long break from acting, and I know, secretly, it means a lot to her.”
Stowe has never been nominated as an individual. She’s facing off against Claire Danes (Homeland), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Callie Thorne (Necessary Roughness) and Mireille Enos (The Killing).
