The revolving door continues to turn at ABC News.
Michael Corn, the senior executive producer of ABC’s Good Morning America, is departing the network. “Michael Corn no longer works for ABC News,” a spokesperson said in a statement.
Corn’s departure follows the news that Kim Godwin will be joining the company as the new president of ABC News.
Corn, a longtime ABC News veteran who previously served as executive producer of ABC World News, helped shepherd the ABC morning show into its current perch atop the morning news ratings.
Corn is the second high-level ABC executive to depart the network following Godwin’s appointment. Wendy McMahon, who had led ABC’s local stations group, also left the company this week.
