The Good Wife has filled two key roles for the upcoming fourth season.
CBS announced Monday that E.R. veteran Maura Tierney has joined the series as recurring character. The move marks a reunion of sorts, as series star Julianna Margulies is another one E.R.’s more famous alums.

Tierney recently starred in ABC’s short-lived legal drama The Whole Truth. She had been cast in NBC’s Parenthood pilot in 2009, until breast cancer treatment prompted her to pull out of the role, now played by Lauren Graham. On The Good Wife, she’ll play a self-made millionaire and power player in Chicago Democratic politics — presumbaly opening her up to screen time with Chris Noth during his character’s gubernatorial campaign.
A less familiar name joining the series is British actor Marc Warren. He’ll play the much-teased role of Kalinda’s (Archie Panjabi) ex-husband. Panjabi’s character was last seen waiting for his arrival, shotgun in hand, as a faceless figure paced outside the door to her apartment.

Warren’s previous TV credits include HBO’s Band of Brothers, an episode of Doctor Who and the British version of Life on Mars.
Both Tierney and Warren will make their Good Wife debuts during the series’ fourth season opener in September.
