Haven star Emily Rose has landed another meaty gig.
The actress, who toplines the recently renewed Syfy drama, has been cast in a recurring role on the sophomore season of USA’s Graceland, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Both series operate under the NBCUniversal umbrella.
Rose will play Jessica Foster, one of Mike’s (Aaron Tveit) superiors in Washington, D.C., but also his ally. Although she comes off as a strong-willed bureaucrat, she plays fast and loose with the rules when she wants to.
Graceland has also cast two other key roles for the new season:
General Hospital alum Brianna Brown will recur as Kelly Badillo, the widow of Juan Badillo, murdered by Briggs and Mike’s former control agent. A single mother scraping by, Kelly has grown cynical about her situation and is afraid that some of her old demons may come back to haunt her.
Benito Martinez (The Shield, Million Dollar Baby) will guest star in an episode as Alfredo Armas, the head of the Caza Cartel. Despite a violent and extreme history, he gives off a “man of the people vibe.” A mastermind who moved up from middle-management by diversifying the cartel’s criminal interests, he runs an empire from vice to drugs to oil pipelines.
Syfy renewed Haven for an expanded fifth season in late January, doubling the usual episode order to 26, with production expected to pick up in the spring. Rose is repped by Domain Talent and Forward Entertainment.
Brown, who recently appeared in Devious Maids and Homeland, is repped by manager Gladys Gonzalez, Pakula/King & Associates and attorneys Marcy Morris and Jeff Bernstein.
