Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson will play a voice on the upcoming Halloween episode of Disney Channel’s Gravity Falls, and The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive clip from the episode.
Gravity Falls centers on two twins, Dipper (Jason Ritter) and Mabel Pines (Kristen Schaal), who spend their summer vacation in the fictitious town Gravity Falls, Ore., where they have multiple supernatural and paranormal encounters.

The episode, “Little Gift Shop of Horrors,” will see Mabel’s pet pig, Waddles (Tyson), accidently eating a bowl of brain-enhancing jelly, after which he builds a machine that allows him to speak for the first time. The episode also features two other mysterious tales, including one in which Stan is cursed by a witch and another where Mabel faces her fear of Claymotion.
Also known for his narration of Fox’s Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, Tyson is also a regular guest on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. The scientist, who has a large Twitter following, received a lot of attention last year when he tweeted out critiques of the science behind Alfonso Cuaron‘s Oscar-winning film Gravity.
