One of The Handmaid’s Tale showrunner Bruce Miller’s top lieutenants is getting his due.
Eric Tuchman, who has served as a writer and co-exec producer, has inked an overall deal with Handmaid’s producers MGM Television. As part of the pact, Tuchman has been promoted to executive producer on the Emmy-winning Hulu drama. Tuchman will also create and develop new projects for MGM Television and Hulu.
Tuchman wrote the penultimate episodes of seasons one and two, among others. His credits include Stitchers, Beauty and the Beast, Eureka, Kyle XY, Early Edition and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. He’s repped by Paradigm, Rain Management Group and Jackoway Tyerman.
The Handmaid’s Tale, which won the Emmy for best drama last year, is nominated for 20 this year. The Elisabeth Moss starrer has already been renewed for a third season. Tuchman’s pact is similar to showrunner Miller, who will also create and develop new projects for both Hulu and MGM TV.
