Kurtz joins previously announced executive producers Justin Stangel and Eric Stangel (Late Show With David Letterman), Ann Marie Wilkins and Connick Jr. The hourlong show has now sold in 99 percent of the U.S. ahead of its Sept. 12 debut.
Harry will offer a wide-ranging mix of live musical performances, man-on-the-street interviews, stunts, parodies and audience participation. “I was in awe of Harry during the pilot and I knew that we were at the beginning of something very special,” Kurtz said in a statement. “Harry is a rare talent, perfectly blending music and comedy and I can’t wait for viewers to experience the magic Harry brings to this medium. I feel so lucky and proud to join Harry, the impressive duo Justin and Eric Stangel and Ann Marie Wilkins as executive producers.”
Added NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution evp of creative affairs, Valerie Schaer: “Jason is a talented and seasoned producer in daytime television, bringing forth an unrivaled work ethic proven by his many successes, including our own Steve Harvey. Jason brings creativity, leadership, passion and experience and we are very fortunate to have him join our amazing production team.”
