This doesn’t bode well for a Wade and Zoe resolution on Hart of Dixie.
Comedian Rob Huebel, who stars on Adult Swim’s Childrens Hospital, has booked a guest-starring role on an upcoming episode of The CW drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.
Huebel will play Michael, the father of Rose’s (McKaley Miller) boyfriend Max (Nicholas Podany). With Wade (Wilson Bethel) and Zoe (Rachel Bilson) officially on the outs, Michael gets set up on a date with Zoe in an effort to get her on the right dating track.

Previews for Tuesday’s episode have been hinting at a possible courtship between Zoe and the good-looking but cocky Jonah Breeland (Travis Van Winkle), Lemon’s cousin. Will that “romance” fizzle? Seems likely.
Repped by UTA and Principato-Young, Huebel has recently appeared in Ken Marino‘s Burning Love, Up All Night, NTSF:SD:SUV and How I Met Your Mother. On the film side, credits include Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Descendants and Celeste & Jesse Forever.
Hart of Dixie airs at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
