HBO Asia is set to begin production on its second Singapore-set original miniseries, Grace.
The project stars American actor Russell Wong (What Women Want; HBO Asia’s Serangoon Road) as Roy Chan, a loving but unfaithful husband, who makes a mistake that “condemns his family to unspeakable horror.”

The show is set in present-day Asia and is said to examine the region’s cultural values of concepts of family, sacrifice and vengeance.
Singaporean veteran actress Constance Song (Point Of Entry; The Ultimatum) plays Roy Chan’s wife, Angela Chan, while Pamelyn Chee (Serangoon Road; Little Nyonya) plays the role of the mistress, Li Ya Yi, and rising Taiwanese star Teresa Daley (Transformers: Age Of Extinction) plays the youngest of their three daughters, Vivian.
Grace follows HBO Asia’s Serangoon Road, a 10-part series co-produced last year with the Australian Broadcasting Company. A detective noir drama set in the 1960s, the show revolved around Singapore’s once notorious multicultural bazaar of its title.
Grace is directed by Tony Tilse, who also helmed Seragoon Road. It is jointly produced by HBO Asia and Singapore production company, Infocus Asia (IFA), with the support of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA).
