HBO plans to pay tribute to James Gandolfini in upcoming airings of The Sopranos.
The pay TV network will include the following message in telecasts, including the one scheduled for 10 p.m. Wednesday on HBO Signature: “HBO mourns the loss of James Gandolfini, a beloved member of the HBO family.”

The episode airing Wednesday night, titled “Where’s Johnny?” features a story line that involved Johnny Sack (Vincent Curatola) expressing his disdain for Tony Soprano’s (Gandolfini) latest solution to a power problem.
While the show is airing across all of HBO’s linear channels, there are no plans for a marathon or other special scheduling. But Sopranos also is available on HBO’s other platforms, including HBO Go.
Meanwhile, on iTunes, season one is climbing the “top TV seasons” list, where it stands as No. 21. All six seasons of the Emmy-winning drama, which originally aired from 1999-2007, are available on iTunes.
An Apple spokesman could not be reached for additional details on Sopranos downloads and sales, nor was data immediately available for HBO Go.

A&E began airing sanitized versions of Sopranos in 2007 through its off-network deal with HBO, but that deal has since expired. Currently, HBO and iTunes are the only places to watch episodes apart from DVDs.
Gandolfini won numerous awards, including three Primetime Emmys, for his role as the troubled crime boss. He died of an apparent heart attack Wednesday while in Rome. He was 51.
