Hillary Clinton made a special appearance on The Late Show Friday to discuss everything from The Fast and the Furious to her 2020 election predictions.
The former Secretary of State played a round of “Just One Question,” in which different staffers at The Late Show filmed a series of random questions for Clinton to answer. Per the name, each person got one question.
Apparently, Clinton is a fan of the Fast and Furious film franchise. In a particularly funny moment, she was asked if she preferred The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) or Vin Diesel, who both star in the films. “What a tough question. The Fast and Furious movies prove that both are masters of high-octane action,” she said, to the audience’s laughter. “And while The Rock is an indispensable part of the later films, Vin Diesel is really at the heart of the center of the Toretto family, and everyone is better off when they’re able to look past what divides them and work together. You know, I like to say, ‘Stronger together.'”
Clinton was not the only big-name star in the clip. Country music legend Willie Nelson seemingly appeared to try to ask her about her stance on legalizing marijuana, but he ultimately blew his first question. “I’m sorry, you already asked your question when you asked if you could ask a question,” Clinton told him.
Other questions included her favorite political movie (The Manchurian Candidate), how to install a toilet, “who’s that guy that’s so good in that thing?” (“Tony Shalhoub?”), and whether the Democrats have a chance of taking back the White House in the next election.
To that end, Clinton said, “I don’t want to make predictions about 2020, mainly because I’m saving those for my new book, What Will Happen: A Book of Predictions by Hillary Clinton and Paul the Psychic Octopus,” she joked.
She also shared her advice for women interested in running for office. “First, if you don’t have thick skin, grow it. And get out and try.”
