I have this theory that therapists and psychologists are some of the nuttiest people in the world, which is why they’re so good at helping others with their personal issues (I can see the angry emails already). I would submit Sunday’s new episode of TLC’s Hoarding: Buried Alive as evidence to back up my hypothesis.

Celia is a psychologist, but can’t see that her shopping addiction has become a huge problem. Of course, everyone around her can. Things have gotten so bad that she walks along six-inch pathways in her house and her bedroom has been reduced to a two by five foot space in which she sleeps. And the bugs, I have no words for the bugs. But, her worried son, Daniel, does. He refers to her home as “being owned by roaches.” Believe it.
