Homeland‘s Howard Gordon and Invasion’s Shaun Cassidy are on the case for Fox.
The network has given a put-pilot commitment to an untitled drama from the duo exploring the lives of two ex-CIA agents who are tasked with starting over. The project will tell the story of the two operatives who, after leaving the agency, are forced to face their past and start over — with their spouses and teen kids — with new identities after their connection to the CIA nearly gets them killed.

Cassidy, whose credits also include serving as a consulting producer on CBS’ Blue Bloods, will write and executive produce the 20th Television project alongside Gordon through his studio-based Teakwood Lane shingle. The entry brings Gordon back to the home of his long-running Kiefer Suthlerland drama, 24.
The project marks the latest in a trend of Homeland-inspired dramas to sell this development season, which include an FBI drama about a female agent set up at NBC from Peter Nowalk and Shonda Rhimes‘ Shondaland banner.
