After CBS shut down production on rookie comedy How to Be a Gentleman and moved it to Saturdays, the network has pulled the half-hour series off the air after one week in its new home.
Gentleman launched in its weekend 8:30 p.m. time slot after a repeat of Two and a Half Men on Oct. 15, posting anemic numbers: 2.4 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 demographic. To compare, the Men rerun drew 3.6 million and a 0.9 in the 8 p.m. lead-off spot.

When Gentleman premiered in the enviable post-The Big Bang Theory slot on Thursday, Sept. 29, it was down a substantial 33 percent in the all-important adults 18-49 demo compared to $#*! My Dad Says the previous year. ($#*! was canceled after one season.) In Week 2, Gentleman sank another 7 percent in 18-49, prompting the move to Saturdays.
Gentleman chronicled the friendship between a columnist (David Hornsby) and his trainer (Kevin Dillon) and co-starred Mary Lynn Rajskub.
