Fans can help select one of the women who moves on to the top 15 in the upcoming Miss America Competition.
To select the “America’s Choice” contestant, people can vote (no more than once a day per person) online and on Facebook for their chosen finalist. Voting closes Monday, Sept. 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET and the winner of “America’s Choice” will be announced with the rest of the top 15 during the Sept. 11 competition.
The remaining contestants in the top 15 are selected by the Miss America preliminary judges panel and it’s possible that the “America’s Choice” winner will also be selected by the judges.
The Bachelor‘s Chris Harrison and ESPN’s Sage Steele will host the 2017 Miss America Competition, which will air live from Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The 52 contestants will compete for the title of Miss America and scholarships.
Judges for the competition include Mark Cuban, Sara Foster (VH1’s Barely Famous), singer-songwriter Cole Swindell and former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes.
Dick Clark Productions, a sister company of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard, and the Miss America Organization are collaborating on all creative, marketing, sponsorship, licensing, ticketing and distribution elements of this year’s show. Tony Eaton and Tall Pony Productions will produce the 2017 Miss America Competition.
