Hulu is set to stream four more seasons of the hit Canadian comedy Letterkenny exclusively in the U.S. market.
The first two seasons of the CraveTV scripted original created by and starring Jared Keeso debuted stateside on the streamer in July. Hulu, as the exclusive U.S. home for Letterkenny, is set to put the third and fourth seasons up on its platform Dec. 27, the series’ producers announced Monday on the show’s Facebook page.
The U.S. run for the fifth and sixth seasons of Letterkenny are still to be announced. The comedy revolves around Wayne (Keeso) and his friends living in the small town of Letterkenny, Ontario, a fictional community based on the actor-writer-executive producer’s hometown of Listowel.
Letterkenny, co-starring Nathan Dales, Dylan Playfair, Andrew Herr and Tyler Johnston, has also spawned a live tour and merchandising. The series is produced by New Metric Media in partnership with DHX Media and Playfun Games and in association with Bell Media.
The Canadian comedy and the original web series Letterkenny Problems stream on CraveTV in Canada. Keeso executive produces, co-writes and stars in the effort. Jacob Tierney directs, exec produces and co-writes the comedy. Mark Montefiore exec produces for New Metric Media.
Another New Metric series, the crime drama Bad Blood, starring Kim Coates and Lisa Berry, was recently picked up by Netflix for its first season.
