Apparently, The Hunger Games actress Willow Shields isn’t afraid to take dark roles.
The 11-year-old has just signed on for an episode of the upcoming third season of The Hub’s spooky anthology series, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour.
Shields will play Eve, a young girl who has always felt like an outsider. That feeling becomes more intense after her younger brother is born. After meeting a woodland faerie who reveals her true lineage, Eve will have to decide whether she’ll sacrifice her brother for a new life and family.
THR recently reported that Disney XD’s Mr. Young star Brendan Meyer and MTV’s My Super Psycho Sweet 16 actor Matt Angel will also appear on The Haunting Hour’s third season.
The series presents a new story and cast in each episode. Previous guest actors have included: Debby Ryan (Jessie), Dylan Minnette (Awake), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Dakota Goyo (Real Steel), Zachary Gordon (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), and Frankie Jonas (Jonas).
Shields plays Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) younger sister Primrose in The Hunger Games movie. She has also played Grace on the CBS TV movie, Beyond the Blackboard, and appeared on USA’s In Plain Sight.
She is represented by ICM and Principato-Young Entertainment.
