Heidi Montag’s new VH1 show, Famous Food, begins airing July 10, and we’re wondering if she’s already fishing for a new gig. If so, she’s starting in shallow waters.
The Hills graduate was spotted at a Wet Republic party in Las Vegas Saturday in her bikini and revealing a much more svelte figure.
Apparently, the petite reality star dropped 27 pounds from her heaviest weight of 130 pounds to 103 pounds. She credits the weight loss to 14-hour daily workouts.
“I’ve been working out from, like, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. for two months now,” she tells US Weekly. “I’ve been working out really hard because I had this pool party and I was like, I have to be in shape.”
“And I was actually a lot overweight,” she continues. “It was the most I’ve ever been because I’ve kind of been in hiding eating pie with my husband and puppies, so I needed to get back in shape.”
So, what does one do for fourteen hours of working out? Montag’s regimen sounds deceptively simple.
“I’ve been running a lot, and I’ve been doing weights,” she said. “When you work out, you boost your metabolism, so you have to [make sure you eat enough].”
Hm, self improvement journeys have been big on OWN recently with Shania Twain and Duchess Fergie. Maybe Oprah Winfrey can create some heat on the network by documenting Montag’s movement to deeper waters that go beyond her apparent fascination with her looks?
