During President Barack Obama‘s State of the Union address on Tuesday, he ad-libbed a quip that is getting a lot of attention.
When Republicans clapped and laughed after he said he had no more campaigns to run, Obama said, “I know, because I won both of them.”
He was both cheered and chastised for the line on Facebook and Twitter, where #IWonBothOfThem trended after his speech. Watch the video below, in which the camera stays on Obama, wink and all. See what people had to say in response on Twitter below.
#IWonBothOfThem The most arrogant president of all time! Unbelievable!!!! The emperor has no intention of working with anyone!

I love Obama’s sassiness now that he is nearing the end of his presidency. His speech last night was great. #IWonBothOfThem

#IWonBothOfThem So did Bush. But he’s a grown-up and not a petty child, so he never mentioned it as a political ploy.

Kids, if you’re gonna interrupt a speech about bi-partisanship with sarcastic claps, youre gonna get a sarcastic response. #IWonBothOfThem

Obama couldn’t fake bipartisanship long enough to finish a speech #IWonBothOfThem

#IWonBothOfThem is @BarackObama‘s “I woke up like this” statement.
