James Corden and Billy Eichner have put a timely spin on their spoof of Adele’s new music video, “Hello.”
As the song sees the Grammy-winning singer checking back in on a relationship long gone, the Late Late Show parody sees the two actors mourning a past costume pairing of Star Wars characters.
“It’s me, I just realized what day it was,” Corden first said over the phone to Eichner, who was dressed as a cow to spend the holiday with his family. “I just thought it’d be something we’d always do, that it’d be us together. Chewbacca needs his Han Solo.”
The two change the lyrics to apply to their October predicament of missing trick-or-treating, eating candy and pranking others throughout the neighborhood. The main phrase of their refrain sees them replacing the title word with the word “Halloween.”
