A&E’s The Infamous has added Jason O’Mara.
Most recently on USA’s Complications, O’Mara joins Fargo breakout Bokeem Woodbine in the buzzy project set against the 1992 Los Angeles riots. O’Mara will play LAPD officer Bill Slidell, described as a good cop who considers himself morally sound but who holds some questionable views on race.
The Infamous, written by Joshua Zetumer (Gambit) and directed by Anthony Hemingway (Red Tails), starts production in L.A. on March 7. Woodbine was previously cast as Shannon, a former gang member turned successful hip-hop producer who’s targeted by an LAPD detective (O’Mara’s character). The series hails from A+E Studios and Color Force.
O’Mara remains an in-demand television actor. The Irish import has toplined such short-lived series as Vegas, Terra Nova, Life on Mars and the previously mentioned Complications.
He is repped by UTA, Independent Talent (U.K.) and Jackoway Tyerman.
