Jason Priestley is to headline the P.I. procedural The Code, with Rookie Blue star Cindy Sampson playing his feisty partner.
The ten-episode drama, unveiled Tuesday by Entertainment One, will see Priestley play Matt Shade, a former hockey player using his celebrity to work as a crime-solving private investigator. The Code, shooting on location in Toronto ahead of a spring 2016 debut in Canada on Shaw Media, also stars Barry Flatman (Fargo, Defiance) as Shade’s father, and Jordyn Negri (Warehouse 13) as Shade’s visually impaired daughter.
Shelley Eriksen and Alan McCullough are show-running the series, which is executive produced by John Morayniss, Rachel Fulford, Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan, Eriksen, McCullough, Tassie Cameron, Kelly Makin and Priestley.
eOne is handling worldwide sales for The Code.
